Terry Bogan

I am a watercolor artist whose vibrant color and energy are evident in my floral and still life paintings. I have been painting and teaching art since the 60s, holding a Masters Degree in Art Education from Columbia University.

I love watercolor. The way the paint reacts to wet paper is always new and exciting. It is a challenge to maintain a balance between control and spontaneity and also between subdued and vibrant colors. When the paint, water and paper meet, something magical happens.

My watercolors are in collections in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia. Five of my watercolors are in Smilow Cancer Hospital’s permanent art collection. I hold membership in the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, Connecticut Watercolor Society, Lyme, Guilford, Madison and Clinton Art Societies
