Terry Bogan

Terry is a watercolor artist whose vibrant color and energy are evident in her floral and still life paintings. She has been painting and teaching art since the 60s, holding a Masters Degree in Art Education from Columbia University.

She loves watercolor. "The way the paint reacts to wet paper is always new and exciting. It is a challenge to maintain a balance between control and spontaneity and also between subdued and vibrant colors. When the paint, water and paper meet, something magical happens."

Her watercolors are in collections in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia. Five of her watercolors are in Smilow Cancer Hospital’s permanent art collection. She holds membership in the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, Connecticut Watercolor Society, Lyme, Guilford, Madison and Clinton Art Societies
