Hey There

About  the Trail

The Shoreline ArtsTrail / Open Studios Weekend is a great way to explore Connecticut Shoreline’s artist community. Visitors meet the artists, explore their studios, and purchase local art ahead of the busy holiday shopping season. Artists are available throughout the year by appointment as well.

The Shoreline ArtsTrail was started in 2001 by a small group of artists from Branford, Guilford, and Madison, Connecticut. Their intent was to create an annual open studios event which would allow local residents and weekend visitors to interact with artists in their studios.

Now in it’s 24 year, Open Studios Weekend has become an annual tradition that attracts hundreds of art lovers. Shoreline ArtsTrail members are professional working artists who work in a variety of media, including paint, pottery, paper, textiles, glass, mixed media, wood, and jewelry.

Each November, this two-day event falls during peak foliage season. Members all contribute to make this an exciting event and are supported by invaluable community partners and sponsors.
