About  the Trail

The Shoreline ArtsTrail / Open Studios Weekend is a great way to explore Connecticut Shoreline’s artist community. Visitors meet the artists, explore their studios, and purchase local art ahead of the busy holiday shopping season. Artists are available throughout the year by appointment as well.

In 2001, a small group of artists from Branford, Guilford and Madison opened their studio doors to local residents. Now in its 25th year and with over forty members, Open Studios Weekend has become a much anticipated annual tradition which attracts hundreds of art lovers who come to meet the artists, learn about the processes and purchase their art. The members of the Shoreline Arts Trail are professional artists who work in a variety of media including paint, clay, wood, fiber, paper, glass, metals and mixed media.
The ever growing collective is supported by invaluable community partners and sponsors, making Open Studios Weekend an exciting and beloved event each November. Visitors from far and near return year after year to remain in touch with their favorite Shoreline artists or discover new talents. Most artists are also available during the year by appointment.
