Steven Plaziak

Steven is on a never-ending quest to create work that connects with people, and paints ‘plein air’ whenever possible.  He has developed a process and a style of work that reflects his own unique perspective. His inspiration comes from the natural beauty and landscape of New England, and it's many fleeting moments and subjects. Each season brings nuances to his color palette. Painting primarily in watercolor, and continuously experimenting with oil, acrylic and gouache, he tries to capture the essence of a subject, starting with his sketchbook, where he explores value and composition. His paintings incorporate a sense of place and atmosphere, with subtle use of color, and most importantly light. Steven is a graphic designer, artist, musician, and bogey golfer living in Guilford, CT.
