Sandra Spahr

Sandee Spahr is a stone sculptor and painter who works primarily from her resident studio located in Guilford, Ct.. She graduated with an Arts Degree from Kutztown University in 1967 and taught art, crafts, photography and sculpture for over 30 years in the Stratford school system.

Her work today is inspired by her frequent travel experiences within the United States, European countries, and Africa with numerous study experiences in Italy. In addition, she has studied sculpture with Sarah Aldouby, wood sculpture with Toshiba Osage, fiber sculpture with the Brookfield Craft Center, and apoxie sculpture and painting with Mark -Anthony Massaro. She earned her Masters and Sixth Years Degrees  in Art from the University of Southern Connecticut.

Having created considerable works in fiber, wood, and bronze, her recent concentration has been primarily stone sculptures and paintings.
