Marjan Babaie Nasr

Marjan (pronounced “mar-john”) obtained my Bachelor and Masters in Fine Arts, at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna, Italy.

I was a painting instructor at the Bologna and the Ravenna Academies of Fine Arts.

I had been a professional painter for over 20 years, holding several shows and exhibitions in Venice, Milan, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna and Berlin. In 2017, I displayed my painting “Life” at a special exhibition at the Louvre Museum, Paris.

Here in America I have exhibited at the Guilford Art Center, Guilford Green summer shows, Centerbrook, Old Lyme etc.

I also worked as a restorer of Renaissance and Baroque Italian paintings and frescoes.

I was also studying classical singing too.

My subjects include flowers, portraits, Persian effects paintings and calligraphy.
