Janine Robertson

I am an artist who creates luminous landscape paintings on aluminum, using oil to explore the vibrant interplay of light, atmosphere, and motion. Based in Madison, Connecticut, I find endless inspiration in the natural world—its marshes, rivers, expansive skies, and the powerful energy of ocean waves. These shifting elements are at the core of my work, evoking both drama and tranquility.

The smooth surface of aluminum enhances the depth and radiance of my compositions, allowing light to reflect through layers of paint and creating a distinctive, ethereal glow. This unique medium brings a sense of movement and luminosity to each piece.

My work is represented in galleries throughout New England and is held in numerous private collections. Several of my larger paintings have also been acquired by the Yale Health System.
