Janine Robertson

Based in Madison, CT, I create luminous oil landscapes on aluminum, inspired by the shifting moods of New England’s marshes, rivers, skies, and waves. I’m drawn to the way light moves across these landscapes, and painting on metal enhances that luminosity and depth. The smooth surface allows light and color to interact, giving each piece a radiant, atmospheric quality. My work captures both serenity and strength, reflecting the ephemeral beauty of the New England landscape. My paintings are represented in galleries across the region and held in private and public collections, including acquisitions by the Yale Health System.
