Christine Chiocchio
Painter and Photographer
"Painting, for me, is like composing music—each brushstroke a note, building rhythm and movement on the canvas. Through color and form, I strive to translate nature’s beauty and emotions, evoking joy, nostalgia, and tranquility in the viewer."
Christine Chiocchio, a painter and photographer based in Stony Creek, finds inspiration in nature and the sea. She captures fleeting moments—shifting light, atmospheric changes, and the rhythm of waves or trees reflected in still water—using oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and photography. Her work encompasses landscapes, seascapes, birds, still life, portraits, and abstracts.
Christine studied at the Lorenzo de’ Medici Institute in Florence, Paier College of Art, and Fairfield University. A certified professional photographer, she has exhibited regionally and nationally. When not in her studio, she paints and photographs the marshes and Thimble Islands.
