Barbara Shulman- Abstract painter, glass fusing artist and jewelry designer.

My two passions in life are creating art and being a healing practitioner. I find joy in imbuing each of my painting with healing energy. Before I begin each painting, I paint words of healing (love, joy, awe, compassion, forgiveness...) on the blank canvas and then with each new layer of paint, I etch in more healing words resulting in a painting that has multiple layers of healing thoughts.

I use bold color and simple lines in my abstract painting and mixed media creations. My inspiration comes from the beauty that surrounds me living on the Connecticut shoreline. I am in awe of the magic of sunrises and sunsets and the distant landscapes. I look at nature though an abstract lens, which is revealed in my paintings.
