Potter
I enjoy the feel of clay and the challenge of transforming clay into the form that I have envisioned. I am currently spending time experimenting with the surface of the pot and have been working with carving and imprinting forms. My work is high fired in a reduction kiln that I built. I use stoneware clay for most of my pots and enjoy throwing as well as hand building them.  I use a combination of traditional Japanese glazes along with other interesting glazes that I have discovered, and I often leave areas of the clay bare in order to see its natural beauty and texture. My glazes are all free of dangerous chemicals and are food safe.
